Received over 30 scholarship offers including Penn State, OLE Miss, and Vanderbilt. Committed to UVA. A captain and 3-year starter, Christ really only came out of the game at halftime. By starting offense, defense, and all special team units, he never had a break to speak. He finished the year with 79 tackles, 13 sacks, 9 pass break ups, 4 forced fumbles, 3 recoveries and 1 int. 2016 All-Loudoun Football Team - Defense Line Conference 14 and Region 4AW Defensive Player of the Year, Daniel Renaud's ability to handle and split double teams were one of the reasons for his Bulldog's success. Stone Bridge defense revolved around his play. Earned 1st Team, All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State defensive line honors.
2016 All-Loudoun Football Team - Defense Lineman Steele was a force on the defensive line for Loudoun Valley this year. He had 33 tackles and 4 sacks. He came up with very timely tackles for a loss throughout the season, and ate up blockers so that his linebackers could run free. Earned All-Conference and All-Region 1st team and VHSL 4A All-State 2nd team defensive line honors.
2016 All-Loudoun Football Team - Defensive End Senior captain, Aidan McFarlane was a 3-year starter for Stone Bridge. Great leader who's versatility allowed his Bulldogs to use him at multiple positions He usually was on the offenses best lineman. Earned All-Conference, All-Region, All-State 1st team defensive end honors.
2016 All-Loudoun Football Team - Linebacker Earned All- Conference 28 Defensive Player of the Year, All-Conference and All-Region 1st and All-State 2nd team linebacker honors. "Mikey O'Connell was the heart and soul of the John Champe program. Last kid here from when the program started O-10. Started on freshman team as an 8th grader, and was 4-year varsity starter. The emotional and physical leader of our team. Can't say enough about what he's meant to us. Been with us since day one. Will most likey leave Champe as the all time leading tackler in school history. That's saying something since we've had all state LB's each of the last 2 seasons." - Jason Dawson, Head Football Coach
2016 All-Loudoun Football Team - Linebacker Senior captain Kyle Smith manned the middle and solidified the Dominion defesne. ALL Conference, All Region, All State 2nd team, Smith finished with 125 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, 2 ints, and 3 forced fumbles. Best known for two legendary goal line stands this season, Smith kept the dominion season going as he stuffed a Valley ball carrier at the 1, and an Amherst ball carrier at the 1 ft line. Best game was a 20 tackle, 2 sack performance vs Salem. Tremendous player that is extremely physical and a very good tackler.
2016 All-Loudoun Football Team - Linebacker John Wooden was a Heritage team captain and their best linebacker the last 2 years. He is a 2-time All-Conference 1st team and All-Region 2nd team selection. Led his team in tackles with 99. Also record 5 TFL , 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 INT.
2016 All-Loudoun Football Team - Defensive Back The senior captain of a Woodgrove squad that finished the regular season with a 10-0 record, Kevin Burke played every position along the linebacker corp and defensive secondary. A great open field tackler, led his defensive unit in tackles, and recorded 3 INTs and 5 sacks on the year. Earned All-Region and All-Conference linebacker honors.
2016 All-Loudoun Football Team - Defensive Back Heritage senior captain, DJ Hutcherson earned All-Conference and All-Region 1st team, and All-State 2nd team defensive back honors. Finished the season with 48 Total Tackles, 2 Fumbles Recovered, 1 INT, 13 Pass Break Ups, and scored 1 Defensive TD. "DJ is the best DB I've coached... at any school. Can't say enough about him. One of the hardest workers I've ever coached. Played both ways at a high level and NEVER missed a practice in 3 years. 2016 All-Loudoun Football Team - Defensive Back One of the best corners to ever play at Stone Bridge, Dohnavyn Jefferson earned 1st Team All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State defensive back honors. Tackles well and plays exceptional man coverage.
2016 All-Loudoun Football Team - Defensive Back Jayson Robinson earned All-Conference - All-Conference 1st and All-Region 2nd team defensive back and punt returner. Roamed the secondary as a corner/safety. He finished with 42 tackles, 8 Pass Break Ups, 2 forced fumbles, 2 ints and return 2 punts for TDs. He also played receiver and running back. "He will be playing at the next level. A physical and tough young man that simply goes about his business on the field.
