Christina Eager Senior Spotlight
Christina Eager has been at APEX for 8 years
Favorite memory from your years at APEX:
I have loved getting closer to my teammates over the years through all the time we have spent with each other and I know that we will be lifelong friends because of it. The best part has just been competing with them and making memories, like sumo wrestling each other in the pit.
Your Favorite Meet:
Winter Island Getaway in December
Which skill was the toughest for you to learn?
The hardest skill for me to learn was my flyaway and I did just about everything that you can do wrong in it. Thank you to all the coaches who have saved my life!
What do you have planned for the future?
I am excited to start college and plan to participate in Air Force ROTC. I also hope to study abroad for a semester!
Do you have any words of advice for younger gymnasts?
Do not get frustrated if you do not get a skill as quickly as you would like. Instead, trust the coaches because they know what they are saying, continue to work as hard as you can and have a good attitude. In the end, it is not so much about the skills you will have learned, but the lessons that the sport has taught you.
