APEX Gymnastics qualified 14 gymnasts to compete in the Region 7 Gymnastics Championships in April by their strong showing at the State Championships this past weekend in Hampton, VA. APEX was led by Level 10 Caroline Cascadden who finished 2nd on beam and Level 9s Lauren Greene and Lillian Lin who finished 1st and 2nd on bars. Lauren Greene also won the silver medal in the all -around and was crowned state champion on bars. Senior Julianne Vennitti also had a standout day winning the silver medal on vaulting and Maria Alexandrou won the bronze on bars! APEX gymnasts qualified gymnasts to Regionals by their all-around standing.

Regional Qualifiers include Caroline Cascadden, Level 10; Level 9s Lauren Greene, Abbie Knox, Makaila Knoerzer, Maria Alexandrou, Marlena Costanzo, Ashley Bannerton, Lillian Lin, Kaitlin Bolton, Julianne Vennitti & Emma Nuwer Level 8s qualified all of the team members which were Carrie Wiggins, Gabby Goodfriend & Maelyn Molden

Gymnasts will compete in the Regional Championships in April against the best gymnasts from Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland. Level 9/10 Regionals will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and the Level 8s will travel to Pennsylvania. Event placements are listed below.
